# This file describes available frequency range per station for a given
# wiring. The frequency range is defined here as the range that software
# supports. Setting frequencies beyond the specified range will cause
# signal corruption. The usable frequency range may be more restrictive
# than the available range due to the internal or external radio interference.
#
# A wiring describes physical cable connection that is not controlled
# by software and a specific firmware of the digital backend.
# A given station may have more than one wiring. A change of wiring
# requires re-connect cables and/or flushing firmware.
#
# Bands are named alphabetically in this file and may not coincide with
# internal band names supported by the antenna control software.
#
# Format:
# STA_NAM -- two-character long station name
# WIRING -- wiring name
# BNAND -- band name
# LOW_FRQ -- Low frequency of the range in MHz
# HIGH_FRQ -- High frequency of the range in MHz
# FRQ_STEP -- Frequency step in MHz

# DBBC3 inputs are natively 0-4096 MHz with an optional tunable down-conversion
# ahead of that. The wide-band IF is filtered into four sub-bands suitable to
# mixed down by an LO of 7700 or 11600 as appropriate.

# The IF filters in the DBBC3 are 0-4096 MHz and we've designed out backend
# filters to suit this. The RF bandpass filters are in the range of
# 3-7, 6-10 and 9.5-13.5 GHz. There is some ability to go outside of this
# range but the sensitivity declines rapidly more than 200 MHz away from
# the nominal band edges. The LO in use can be changed during an experiment
# (in the range of either 6-9 GHz for IFs A-F or in the range of
# 9-12 for Ifs G/H) but this will likely cause a clock break and may affect
# the input IF through aliasing. Changing USB/LSB mixing is fine, as long
# as aliasing isn't introduced.
#
# We try to avoid the extremes of the 0-4096 MHz IF (i.e above 100 and
# below 4000 MHz). The DBBC3 incorporates a low pass filter which reduces
# the amplitudes for IF frequencies > 3.5 GHz but this doesn't radically
# affect amplitudes.
