Evolution of position of sources 2250+194 and 3C454.3

Both sources were observed in geodetic/astrometric VLBI sessions. I made a global solution with using all available dual-band observations in Goddard collection from 1979 till 2005.10.10, except VCS1 sessions. In total 4012 diurnal sessions, 4.8 millions observations were used. Position of 3C454.3 and 2250+194 were estimated in each session independently. Solution setup is similar to the 2005c solution.

Source 3C454.3 was not observed in global VLBI networks since 1990 through 2003, since it has significant structure. But it was observed intensively in Japanese domestic experiments (baseline lengths 1-1.5 thousands km) and in Key Stone Project sessions (baseline lengths 100-150 km). Observations at relatively short baselines, of course, cannot provide precise coordinates. Since February 2004 as a part of unfunded efforts for supporting the Gravity Probe B mission for independent check of results of E. Pavlis, I. Ciufolini, L. Iorio and co-authors of estimation of frame dragging effect from observations of Lageos and Lageos-II satellites, observations of this source were made at global networks.

Source 2250+194 was observed in 27 experiments.
