UPWEI UPWEI Ver. 2000.03.30 Procedure for weights update. Description of menu items. °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° (H) -- Put on-line help on the screen, which you are reading just now. (I) -- Start doing iterative calculation of reweight constants. Up to UPWEI_MAXIT iterations will be made unless convergence criterion will be reached: ratio of chi_square to its mathematical expectation will differ from unity by less than UPWEI_CHITOL parameters for all baselines not including a) baselines which has less than NEQU_MIN used observations; b) baselines which has applied reweight constant equal to floor. (M) -- Set maximum number of iterations in the range [1, 32767]. (U) -- Update weights only once. Only one iteration of the calculation reweight correction will be made. (T) -- Set tolerance factor in the range [0.0001, 1.0]. This quantity is used during iterative weights update. Iterations will be stopped when the ratio of chi_square to its mathematical expectation will differ from unity by less than tolerance factor for all baselines. (N) -- Re-read reweight constants from NAMFIL. It will substitute the constants currently applied to the weights. (E) -- Enter initial weights. Initial corrections (the same for all baselines) to weights may be entered. It will substitute the correction currently applied to the weights. Initial weights should be in the range [0, 10**6] psec. (L) -- Set floor of reweight constants in the range [0, 300] psec. UPWEI never sets reweight constant less than the specified floor. If correction which provides the ratio of chi-square to its mathematical expectation for the baseline under consideration should have value less than floor, then UPWEI sacrifices the criterion of chi-square and sets reweight quantity to the floor value forcible. (V) -- Switch of verbose mode. If verbose mode is switched on then more verbose information is printed at the screen and in the spool file during work of UPWEI. (B) -- Baseline-dependent mode is switched on. The set baseline-dependent constants will be determined for. (G) -- Global mode is switched on. One baseline-independent constants will be determined for. (D) -- File statistics in working directory UPWEIxx will be created and its content will rewritten to the spool file and then displayed at the screen. It contains number of used observations, w.r.m.s, applied weights corrections and the ratio of chi-square to its mathematical expectation for all baselines, sources separately and for all observations together. (O) -- Return back to the calling program.
