VLBI global solution rfc_2013a
Astrometric global solution rfc_2013a used all available VLBI observations
at 8.6GHz and 2.2 GHz, as well at 5 and 22GHz from 1980.04.11 through
2012.12.26, in total 5513 observing sessions, including 356 observing
sessions dedicated to the absolute astrometry surveys,
such as
- 24 observing sessions of VLBA Calibrator Survey;
- 13 observing sessions of the Australian LBA Calibrator Survey;
- 94 observing sessions of the VLBI 2MASS radioastronomy project;
- 16 observing sessions of the
VLBA Imaging and Polarimetry Survey (VIPS);
- 136 regular geodetic VLBA sessions under the RDV program;
- 3 observing sessions in 1FGL AGNs at parsec scales;
- 3 observing sessions of VLBA Galactic Plan Survey;
- 1 observing session of the EVN Galactic Plan Survey
at K-band;
- 14 observing sessions of the K/Q survey;
- 34 observing sessions of the VLBA calibrator survey for BeSSeL
project;
- 2 observing sessions of the Bologna survey of near galaxies;
- 3 observing sessions of the VLBA survey of flat-Spectrum FIRST Sources;
- 3 observing sessions of the CJ snap-shot survey with the VLBA;
- 3 EVN observing sessions for densification of the ICRF
- 7 observing session of the survey of optically bright quasars;
- 2 observing sessions of the compactness of weak radio sources at
high frequency survey
In total, 9943451 estimates of group delays were used in
LSQ solutions.
Positions of 7215 sources were adjusted in 5 least square solutions
for X/S, X-band, S-band, C-band, and K-band solutions. Currently, this
is the most complete catalogue of positions of compact radio sources.
Technical description of the solution is available
here.

rfc_2013a catalogue in
HTML form (10 Mb). NB: loading the catalogue
takes time, please be patient. The catalogue contains source
positions, their uncertainties, estimates of the total VLBA flux
density, the VLBA flux density of unresolved components, naturally
weighted CLEAN images in postscript and in fits format at X and
S-band; plots of the correlated flux density as a function of the
length of the baseline projection to the source plane; fits files
with calibrated uv data. Images and estimates of
correlated flux densities are available for 4714 sources from this
catalogue. Among 7215 sources, 6073 are classified as calibrators,
1053 are classified as non-calibrators with reliable positions and
89 are classified as non-calibrators with unreliable positions.
For the sources from the latter class, there is a probability > 0.001
that group delay ambiguities were resolved incorrectly, and as a result,
their position may be off in a range of 0."1 to 5' from the reported
coordinates.

Astrophysics Information
-
31,323 Images and calibrated uv data
for 4714 sources at
S, C, X, U, K, Q, and W bands in one tar.bz2 file (35 Gb).
For some of the sources images for more than one epoch are available.
-
Single dish spectrum
for 6791 sources from
published results determined with use of the CATS database.
NB: the estimates of flux density are NOT simultaneous. Since
the majority of sources are variable, these estimates of the spectrum
are not always reliable. Estimates of spectrum for some sources
may be wrong due to errors in the database of singe dish flux
measurements.
Geophysics Results
Station positions and velocities
Positions of 171 stations and their velocities were estimated as global
parameters. Station positions are given on epoch 2000.01.01.
Boundary conditions were selected in such a way that source positions,
station positions and velocities are compatible with USNO series of the
Earth orientation parameters
finals.all and
finals.daily.
Antenna axis offsets
Antenna axis offsets from LSQ estimation
rfc_2013a.axof
Earth orientation parameters
Pole coordinates X, Y, UT1 angle, and their rate, daily correction to the
nutation in longitude and nutation in obliquity were estimated for each
session separately.
