MALO — MAss LOading computation software
The Earth as a whole responses to external forces as an elastic body.
Changes in the mass of the atmosphere and hydrosphere cause crustal
deformations that are of the order of magnitude 1cm. Deformations caused
by loadings should be taken into account in a reduction of astronomical
and space geodesy observations when the accuracy better than 2 nrad
or 1 cm is required.
Software MALO contains a number of routines that establish
the infrastructure for processing output of numerical models that
describe mass changes and for computing mass loading deformations.
